Admission procedure
A clear, step-by-step guide to joining The Catholic University of Cameroon, Bamenda — from preparing your documents to your first day on campus.
Step 01
Prepare your documents
Gather certified copies of your academic transcripts (GCE A-Level, Baccalauréat, HND, Bachelor's, or equivalent), a valid national ID card or birth certificate, and two recent passport-size photographs. Postgraduate applicants should also have a CV, a statement of purpose, and two academic recommendation letters ready.
Step 02
Submit your application
Complete the online application form on the CATUC admissions portal, selecting the School and programme you wish to join. Upload your supporting documents in the requested formats. On submission, you will receive a unique Applicant ID by email — keep this safe, you will need it for the next step.
Step 03
Pay the application fee
Using your Applicant ID as the payment reference, settle the non-refundable application fee through any of the official CATUC Bamenda bank accounts listed on the admissions page.
Step 04
Interview & evaluation
Selected programmes (notably Medicine, Nursing, Engineering, and postgraduate studies) invite shortlisted candidates for a written or oral interview. You will be notified by email and SMS with the date, venue, and what to bring. All other programmes are evaluated on the strength of the submitted file.
Step 05
Receive your admission decision
Admission decisions are communicated by email within two to four weeks of a complete application. Successful candidates receive an official admission letter signed by the Vice-Chancellor, together with registration instructions and a tuition schedule for the 2026/2027 academic year.
Step 06
Register and join CATUC
Confirm your place by paying the first tuition instalment, completing online registration, and reporting to campus for orientation at the start of the academic session. The admissions office will guide you through enrolment, ID issuance, and your School's welcome programme.
