Admission procedure

Choose your programme
Select from our six Schools and Faculties using this prospectus or the website.
Prepare your documents
Gather certificates, transcripts, identity papers, photographs, and supporting letters.
Submit your application
Apply online via www.catuc.org or in person at the Office of the Registrar in Big Mankon to obtain your Applicant ID.
Pay the application fee
Using your Applicant ID, pay 15,000 CFAF (undergraduate) or 20,000 CFAF (graduate) at any of the official bank accounts.
Interview & enrolment
Attend any required interview, receive your offer, and enrol for the new academic year.
Who can apply
Entry requirements
Entry requirements vary by level. Here is a summary — see the full page for the complete checklist.
Doctoral (PhD) Programmes
- A recognised Master's degree in a related field with a strong research component.
- A written research proposal (5–8 pages) aligned with a CATUC research area.
- Evidence of prior research output (dissertation, publication, or professional report) is an advantage.
- Two academic reference letters, at least one from a former research supervisor.
- Interview with the proposed School's doctoral committee.
Master's Programmes
- A recognised Bachelor's degree with at least Second Class Lower (or CGPA ≥ 2.5/4.0) in a related field.
- Certified transcripts covering all undergraduate study.
- Two academic or professional reference letters.
- A one-page statement of purpose outlining research interests and career goals.
- Curriculum vitae (CV) with contact details of referees.
Undergraduate (Bachelor's) Degrees
- GCE Advanced Level with at least 2 passes (excluding Religious Studies), or Baccalauréat, or a recognised equivalent.
- GCE Ordinary Level with at least 4 passes including English Language, Mathematics, and a Science subject where applicable.
- Medicine, Nursing, and Medical Laboratory Sciences require passes in Biology and Chemistry at A/L and a competitive entrance interview.
- Engineering and Science programmes require Mathematics and Physics at A/L.
Higher National Diploma (HND)
- GCE Advanced Level with at least 2 passes, or Baccalauréat, or a recognised equivalent.
- GCE Ordinary Level with at least 4 passes including English Language or French.
- For Health programmes: a Biology pass at A/L and a satisfactory medical fitness report.
- Applicants with a Probatoire plus relevant work experience may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
