Application form guide
A field-by-field walk-through of the CATUC Bamenda application form, with the supporting documents to attach with your submission.
Before you begin
Read each section in order. Fields marked Required must be completed for your file to be reviewed. Write in BLOCK LETTERS on the printed form, or type clearly on the online portal. Make sure every name, date, and number matches your supporting documents.
Section A
Programme choice
Tell us which programme you want to read. Choose carefully — your file will be evaluated against the entry requirements of the programme you select here.
- Academic yearRequired
- Enter the session you are applying for. Use the four-digit format.Example: 2026/2027
- Level of studyRequired
- Tick one: HND, Undergraduate (Bachelor's), Masters, or PhD.
- School / FacultyRequired
- Select the School that hosts the programme — SHMS, SENG, FBMS, STANR, SESS, or School of Theology.
- First-choice programmeRequired
- Write the full name of the programme exactly as listed in the prospectus.Example: B.Sc. in Nursing
- Second-choice programme
- Optional. A backup programme in the same School in case the first choice is full or you narrowly miss the entry requirement.
- Mode of studyRequired
- Tick Full-time or Part-time. Some HND and Masters programmes also offer weekend tracks — check the prospectus.
Section B
Personal information
Enter your details exactly as they appear on your national ID card or birth certificate. Mismatches delay admission and registration.

- Cameroonian applicants enter the CNI number; international applicants enter the passport number.
Section C
Contact details
We use these channels to send your Applicant ID, interview invitations, and admission letter. Use details you check often.

Required for HND and Undergraduate applicants under 21. Optional for Masters and PhD.

Section E
Academic background
List your education from secondary school to your most recent qualification. Attach certified copies of every certificate and transcript you list here.

- Name of school, town, and years attended.
- O-Level / BEPC resultsRequired
- List subjects and grades. Required for HND applicants.
- A-Level / Baccalauréat / Probatoire resultsRequired
- List papers and grades, with year and centre number. Required for Undergraduate applicants.
- Higher education attended
- Institution, programme, dates, and qualification obtained. Required for HND-to-Bachelor top-up, Masters, and PhD applicants.
- Qualification obtained
- Title of the degree or diploma, classification (e.g. Second Class Upper), and date of award.Example: B.Sc. Accounting, Second Class Upper, July 2025
- GPA / Average
- Cumulative GPA or weighted average if shown on your transcript.
Section F
Research and professional details
Complete this section only if you are applying for a Masters or PhD programme.
- Proposed area of researchRequired
- One sentence describing the field you intend to study.
- Working title of researchRequired
- Provisional title of your thesis or dissertation. May be refined after admission.
- Research proposalRequired
- Attach a 3–5 page proposal covering background, problem statement, objectives, methodology, and references. PhD applicants only.
- Work experience
- List the most recent three roles with employer, position, and dates. Required for MBA and executive Masters.
- Referees
- Names, titles, institutions, and email addresses of two academic referees. They will be contacted directly by CATUC.
Section G
Health declaration
Required for all applicants. Information is confidential and used only for student welfare and clinical placements.
- Known medical conditionsRequired
- Briefly describe any chronic condition, allergy, or disability that the University should be aware of. Write 'None' if not applicable.
- Emergency contactRequired
- Name, relationship, and phone number of the person to contact in an emergency.
Section H
Declaration and signature
By signing, you confirm that the information provided is true and that you have read the University's admission regulations.
- Applicant's signatureRequired
- Sign in blue or black ink on the printed form, or upload a scanned signature for online submissions.
- DateRequired
- DD/MM/YYYY — the date you signed the form.
- Parent / guardian signature
- Required for applicants under 21.

Documents to submit with your form
Attach legible scans or certified photocopies. Originals are only required at registration. All certificates not in English or French must be accompanied by a certified translation.
All applicants

- Proof of payment of the non-refundable application fee
HND applicants
- Completed HND application form
- Certified copies of GCE O/L and A/L (or Baccalauréat) results

Undergraduate applicants
- Completed Undergraduate application form

Masters applicants
- Completed Master's application form
- Certified Bachelor's degree certificate and transcripts
- Two reference letters (sealed or emailed by referees)
- Statement of purpose (max. 1 page)
- Updated CV
- Birth certificate and two passport photographs
- Application fee receipt tied to your Applicant ID
PhD applicants
- Completed PhD application form
- Certified Master's degree certificate and transcripts
- Bachelor's degree certificate and transcripts
- Research proposal (5–8 pages)
- Two academic reference letters
- Updated CV with list of publications or reports
- Birth certificate and two passport photographs
- Application fee receipt tied to your Applicant ID
International applicants
- Certified copy of passport (data page)
- Equivalence certificate from the Cameroon Ministry of Higher Education (where applicable)
- Proof of English-language proficiency, if your previous studies were not in English
